Thanks for the wonderful article. My take on this is that Kony needs to be looked at not only as Joseph Kony but as a sign of the divisive politics that has characterised this country. Beginning from the divide and rule nonsense the British imparted in us that northerners were good fighters and southerners born leaders and brainworkers of this country followed by the tribal coups that followed and incapacitance of successive governments to trash and not augment this colonial nonsense. Secondly, there is need for reconcilitation and sane leadership. We need a president who is willing to reach out to extrimists like Kony and not care about 'time for my tribe to eat, to hell with them!'. Thirdly, a change of attitude is necessary. We should train our children to be able to see beyond tribal barriers and not give them a Palestinian/Israeli indoctrination where they grow up thinking the presence of the 'other' is are the worst thing God ever did to Uganda. Am from the north but frankly I feel more at home in Nairobi or Dar than in Kampala because no one murmurs 'anyanya' nomenclatures everywhere you go. - Ocirowijok
