For sometime now the powers that be have put our country between a rock and a hard place with regard to land bonanzas and the impending lawsuits resulting from the withdrawal of these offers.
Several cases including :
a) the 450 hectares Murchison limestone quarry that was originally gifted to one company and later given to Hima cement ltd.
b) The impending lawsuit if the president does not follow through with the Nakawa - Naguru bonanza.
My proposal is that all bonanzas should be subject to contract (stc) with the PPDA .
That a caveat emptor be included refering to the fact that ANY verbal promise be taken at most as a sign of our goodwill and that such verbal gesture NOT be construed to be final.
H.E General Y.K.Museveni has a busy work schedule and might have given away these lands whilst very tired .
He has to promote patriotism in schools , a job last done by Amanya Mushega ,
Has to handle Army affairs , districts , regional affairs ,bonna bonna bagagawale , elections etc,etc.
